डेली स्टार न्यूज वेबसाइट की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार प्रिया नाम की एक 27 साल की महिला ने ब्रिटेन की एक ट्रैवल फर्म ई-शोर से बात करते हुए अपने चौंकाने वाले अनुभव का खुलासा किया. ट्रैवल वेबसाइट के एक कॉलम के लिए सिंगल पैरेंट अपने चौंकाने वाले ट्रैवल एक्सपीरियंस का जिक्र कर रहे थे जिसके तहत प्रिया ने भी अपने अनुभव को साझा किया.

छोटे बच्चों के साथ यात्रा करना काफी मुश्किल हो जाता है. बस, ट्रेन, कार या फ्लाइट जैसे साधनों में बड़ों को भले ही आराम मिल जाए पर बच्चे परेशान हो जाते हैं. वो इतने छोटे होते हैं कि ना ही कुछ बोल पाते हैं और ना ही उन्हें समझ आ पाता है कि उनके साथ क्या हो रहा है. ऐसे में वो रोने लगते हैं, चिड़चिड़ाते हैं और उनकी वजह से सहयात्रियों को भी मुश्किल होती है. पर बच्चों की माताओं को भी काफी मुश्किल होती है. सबसे बड़ी मुश्किल होती है उन्हें स्तनपान कराने की. हाल ही में एक महिला ने अपना ऐसा ही फ्लाइट (breastfeeding in flight) से जुड़ा एक अनुभव शेयर किया जिसमें एक पुरुष फ्लाइट अटेंडेंट (air hostess insult breastfeeding woman) की वजह से उसे शर्मिंदा होना पड़ा.

एयर होस्टेस ने किया अपमानित

उन्होंने बताया कि एक बार वो अपने छोटे बच्चे के साथ अकेले यात्रा कर रही थीं. अचानक बच्चा रोने लगा तो उन्होंने उसे स्तनपान कराने का सोचा. वो अपनी सीट पर, बिना किसी को डिस्टर्ब किए स्तनपान करा रही थीं जब अचानक वहां एक पुरुष एयर होस्टेस आया और उसने बिना महिला की इजाजत के उसके ऊपर एक कंबल डाल दिया जिससे बच्चा और महिला का सीना ढक जाए. एयर होस्टेस ने कहा कि उसने ऐसा महिला को ज्यादा कंफर्टेबल मेहसूस कराने के लिए किया. हालांकि, प्लेन में स्तनपान कराना कानूनी तौर पर भी वैध है.

लोगों ने दिए फीड कराने के सुझाव

ऐसा पहली बार नहीं है जब औरतों को पब्लिक ट्रांसपोर्ट में इस तरह के अपमान का सामना करना पड़ा है. डेली स्टार वेबसाइट के अनुसार सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म रेडिट के एक ग्रुप पर कुछ महिलाओं ने प्लेन में ब्रेस्टफीड कराने के जरूरी टिप्स दिए हैं. टिप्स में बताया गया कि ब्रेस्टफीडिंग के लिए खिड़की की तरफ वाली सीट सबसे अच्छी होती है क्योंकि तब आपके एक तरफ खिड़की होती है. एक ने कहा कि अगर किसी को प्लेन में फीड कराने में शर्म आ रही है तो वो साथ में बेबी मिल्क भी लेकर चल सकता है. कुछ औरतें भाथरूम में जाकर भी फीड करा लेती हैं.
